I really can't do anything but giving high notes, I really downloaded all your musics into my library, as I'm a big fan of Fly lo, Shlohmo, Daisuke Tanabe, Adjaman etc. Listener.

phosphorusprocedure responds:

Glad you dig the stuff, man! Thanks for the downloads!

Delicious sidechains, Delicious Voice samples, Delicious Instrument.

What Can I Say? Downloaded.

phosphorusprocedure responds:

Thanks, man!

Feels really relaxing and smooth, the samples for the piano really give that empty feel of being alone, or watched over.

An excellent music, Good job.

MrNightVarga responds:

Thanks for reviewing! Glad you liked it.

5 stars, this time, it's really merging alright, it makes something delicious!

The background sounds are just perfect this time, the retro and simplistic sounds are magnificent, Keep this up!

phosphorusprocedure responds:

Thanks, dude!

It's my first voice acting review... Here I go!

The voice has the potential to become some kind of RiceRaptor if you know what i'm saying, but it lacks of confidence and self knowing, as for the "laughing section" the "girly" section, you would need to polish your voice.

Though, your intonation is good, and your voice could really fit into animated characters.

Also, small issue, you would have to adjust yourself from the mic, we can detect some small interferences, what are you using?

Kevrake responds:

Hey, thanks for the review. Honestly, I kind of threw this together, and most of the volume adjustment kind of sucks, as I have to do it manually. There's probably a way to fix this, I just have no idea how. If it were in an actual project, I would definitely put a lot more time into making sure the volume doesn't sock total arse. Also I see what you mean by the confidence. I'm gonna keep this demo up and see if someone will want my voice for a project, and continue on from there.

If you played this on your own with a digital piano, congratulations, it's a really hard theme to play, but there are several things that put that skill into shadow : Volume, Piano quality, Drums.

I really... think that the track would be much GREATER without any drums, Piano with drums are really hard to merge, and if there is drums, it's usually "cinematic drums" or experimental drums, here, it's just not working.

The Volume is really unfitting into this situation. as the drums are much louder than the keys, so there is a big contrast between those two, it almost feel like they're both from different musics, you should turn the drums volume down and equalize the piano, try to configure it with some EQ modifications.

Good luck!

Mekkatech responds:

Thanks for your advice. :)

Unfortunately, I think that the song is really missing the essentials to make a cinematic theme, and I feel bad for saying this because the tune could be really catchy, but there, the instruments just feel almost awful, the legato isn't working, the realease is absent so we can detect a gap of void between each notes, the winds aren't properly used and feel clumsy.

The problem here doesn't come from the notes, but from the audio mastering and samples, you should think about getting better instruments to create the atmosphere, I hope you will succeed, I will for now on follow your works, I'm sure you have a great potential to make something really big.

jonadrew responds:

Thank you for reviewing with brutal honesty, and telling me what I can improve on while you were at it. I really appreciate that sincerely. Thanks!

I understand that my software isn't the best, and I should really have no excuse by now. It's about time to start buying actual equipment anyways. But it's nice to know that my concept of music is decent, and that I still need to study more music.

Thanks again man!

Impressive use of different Instruments, I can't say anything bad this time, It really WORKS, It feels really subtle to listen, as we're driven by this short journey, Honoring the sun is really a good track you've just made.

MrNightVarga responds:

Thank you for reviewing and listening. =)

The effect would've worked if it wasn't so repetitive, It still feels great to listen to this, good audio mastering, several attempts to make it funny to listen, feels good, it's a bit too bad to know that it's 3 minutes long with the same tune going on plus the starting and the ending feels really wierd, the ending is making wierd fades out, and the FX at the beginning feels a bit... alone.
Keep working on this, I think we're on something, good luck. :)

RayRayBeats responds:

Thanks man! This was my first attempt at making a beat with the Korg DSN-12 on my Nintendo 3ds. Appreciate the listen!

I can see your point by trying to merge Zimmer and Daft Punk with that Electro, and orchestral theme, But I hate to say that, because I can see you really worked well, on this track, but the strings doesn't really work, And dont worry it's something common with a lot of composers, but it just feels really wierd, we can immedialty see the digital print within those sounds.

I look harsh on this note, Because I actually compared it with some other musics you've made, and Your style is good, It's even really good!

I think you would need to rework the way you use strings on this one, the legato feels harsh, fortunately the pace is saved by the drums.

Anyway, If you really want to invest into great sounds, you could try adagio violins for Kontakt, with CInesamples piano in blue, Cinesamples Epic Voxos and other presets, and good thing, if it's for non-commercial use, it's not forbidden to "download" it for free.

Good luck, I'm following your next works.

Grandvision responds:

I understand, and I wanted to mention this in the artist comments. The strings themselves feel out of tempo for me, and I will change them to something more suitable. East West Quantum Leap Symphonic Orchestra Platinum Edition are a quite outdated sample library. I will look into Adagio, I also like the sound of Cinestrings.

Thanks for the help.
