That's the kind of sound I can't say anything bad about it, It has it all! Great composition you've made here.

What up is a stable track, that kind of track you can't hate, but can't feel in love with, it's a good track in average to newgrounds standards. The lead feels great to listen to, but the keys is just like an add-on to this track, it's not essential at all.

Anyway, good soundtrack!

Unfortunately, I think that the song is really missing the essentials to make a cinematic theme, and I feel bad for saying this because the tune could be really catchy, but there, the instruments just feel almost awful, the legato isn't working, the realease is absent so we can detect a gap of void between each notes, the winds aren't properly used and feel clumsy.

The problem here doesn't come from the notes, but from the audio mastering and samples, you should think about getting better instruments to create the atmosphere, I hope you will succeed, I will for now on follow your works, I'm sure you have a great potential to make something really big.

Thank you for reviewing with brutal honesty, and telling me what I can improve on while you were at it. I really appreciate that sincerely. Thanks!

I understand that my software isn't the best, and I should really have no excuse by now. It's about time to start buying actual equipment anyways. But it's nice to know that my concept of music is decent, and that I still need to study more music.

Thanks again man!

The FX and drums are great, the bass doesn't feel odd or anything, Good track.

I don't know why, But "rave" and "techno" always feel like wierd old kitch techno sounds with those harsh and crude beats.

But here, it's subtle, the vocals feel good to listen, the beats are in a good place, and the Fx/lead is really following track itself.

Amazing job.

Impressive use of different Instruments, I can't say anything bad this time, It really WORKS, It feels really subtle to listen, as we're driven by this short journey, Honoring the sun is really a good track you've just made.

MrNightVarga responds:

Thank you for reviewing and listening. =)

The effect would've worked if it wasn't so repetitive, It still feels great to listen to this, good audio mastering, several attempts to make it funny to listen, feels good, it's a bit too bad to know that it's 3 minutes long with the same tune going on plus the starting and the ending feels really wierd, the ending is making wierd fades out, and the FX at the beginning feels a bit... alone.
Keep working on this, I think we're on something, good luck. :)

RayRayBeats responds:

Thanks man! This was my first attempt at making a beat with the Korg DSN-12 on my Nintendo 3ds. Appreciate the listen!

I can see your point by trying to merge Zimmer and Daft Punk with that Electro, and orchestral theme, But I hate to say that, because I can see you really worked well, on this track, but the strings doesn't really work, And dont worry it's something common with a lot of composers, but it just feels really wierd, we can immedialty see the digital print within those sounds.

I look harsh on this note, Because I actually compared it with some other musics you've made, and Your style is good, It's even really good!

I think you would need to rework the way you use strings on this one, the legato feels harsh, fortunately the pace is saved by the drums.

Anyway, If you really want to invest into great sounds, you could try adagio violins for Kontakt, with CInesamples piano in blue, Cinesamples Epic Voxos and other presets, and good thing, if it's for non-commercial use, it's not forbidden to "download" it for free.

Good luck, I'm following your next works.

Grandvision responds:

I understand, and I wanted to mention this in the artist comments. The strings themselves feel out of tempo for me, and I will change them to something more suitable. East West Quantum Leap Symphonic Orchestra Platinum Edition are a quite outdated sample library. I will look into Adagio, I also like the sound of Cinestrings.

Thanks for the help.

Merging those sounds feel a little bit odd, Not wierd or anything : just odd, therefore, I really appreciated the background sounds that were quite good, you really express some kind of personality there, I'll be tracking you so I can see your progress.

phosphorusprocedure responds:

Cool! Yeah -- it was a weird one. I just listened to it again and there's probably lots of things I could fix/mess around with. Thanks for the review.

Even though it's kinda repetitive, it's an impro... Jesus, It's really good, it's that kind of music I'm trying to achieve.

Great work!
